  5.        Thank you for taking a look at THE INTERSTATE TRAVELER.  I hope you
  6.        will find it useful and want to add it to your software library.
  7.        The licensing terms for the program can be found in the file
  8.        REGISTER.DOC.  Once the program has been installed, please read this
  9.        file.  This is version 1.1 of the program.

  11.        This program requires an IBM or IBM compatible PC, 512K of RAM, an
  12.        EGA or VGA color graphics adapter, DOS 3.3+, a hard drive, and a
  13.        floppy drive.  A mouse is optional.
  14.  
  15.        To install the program on your hard disk, enter the following
  16.        command, specifying the floppy drive which contains the distribution
  17.        diskette, and follow the instructions shown on the screen-
  18.  
  19.                     A:INSTALL   (or B:INSTALL)
  20.  
  21.        The compressed program files will self-extract and be placed in the
  22.        default directory or one you specify.  If the files are distributed
  23.        on two 360K diskettes, then each one should be installed to the same
  24.        directory (run INSTALL.BAT from each diskette).

  26.        To run the program, make the directory containing the program files
  27.        the default directory (cd ist11, for example), key-in IST, and press
  28.        ENTER.

  30.        To get into the program quickly and see what it can do, read the
  31.        SAMPLE.RUN file.  It will give you a brief overview of the program
  32.        and the steps of a sample run you can make.  With this information
  33.        and the on-line help, you should be able to take a good look at the
  34.        features of the program.

  36.        Please remember that this is a user-supported product and requires
  37.        the payment of a registration fee should you wish to continue using
  38.        it after a reasonable trial period.
